COMMUNITY  WAREHOUSE

The Community Warehouse is a new outreach which has been developed from the work of the Brick. The project collects unwanted furniture, white goods, computers and bikes from members of the public and offers training and employability skills to volunteers and clients who will then restore, refurbish and ultimately re-sell items from both The Community Warehouseand the Home from Home charity shop.

By running a broad range of outreach, training and employment related programmes , the project aims to helping people overcome their barriers by providing a combination of advice, guidance, training and supported work experience which is tailored to each individual's specific needs. This will include programmes that help build social skills, increase levels of confidence, self-esteem and motivation as well as developing literacy, numeracy, technical and work related skills. Its mission is to work with disadvantaged individuals and help them overcome barriers and become fulfilled, skilled and employed.
